Sometime ago I wrote a blog post advertising a Project/Product manager position open at Pollenizer. I received a flood of applications, some good ones, some bad ones as you can expect. Today I received a nice email from James Goldie with this video attached:
Now that’s what I’m talking about! Needless to say that we are now all looking forward to meet James 🙂
…and I might just watch it one more time 🙂
This is how to apply for a job. Amazing how many people still send us their phone number and ask if there are any jobs going.
Love the effort you put into the video application… can you do my application for the Amazing Race 🙂
Awesome – (yes)
I remember that ad! Good to see you kept the ‘oldies’ away 😉
Pfft. I’ll wait for the interview.
It’s good to open mind for a new idea, especially in attracting attention among others. However, I don’t agree with the opinion about “keeping the oldies away”. Hiring an employee is very like investing on him or her. We need ROI. Especially from project management perspective, sometime, the old way is a good way to deal with project and human nature. A fresh idea can create a new product or service but if we look back, regardless supported tools, the field in project management hasn’t changed much. The most important thing is the candidate’s skills in managing projects successfully. 😀
