Casual Position: Junior Web Designer

For Design Graduate / Student:

Do you live for web design? Are you ready to immerse yourself in the industry? Are you looking for somewhere great to get work experience?

What we’re looking for:

An entry-level position has become available for a pro-active and creative junior web designer. You may have graduated, or you may still be studying, but you need to be available 1 day a week (possibly more in the future).

You need to demonstrate the following

- Good understanding of design for the web and screen
- Experienced in adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Ability to work on print design tasks
- Ability to follow briefs and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additionally, we value:

- Experience developing in xHTML / CSS
- Knowledge in web standards and valid markup techniques

What’s involved?

- Following a brief and using the master design of a site, you will be required to design the secondary pages
- Stock Photo sourcing, resizing and implementation into web sites
- Updating WordPress blogs / sites
- Designing some internal print work

This is a great opportunity to gain real exposure in the web industry. You will be working on a diverse range of projects while having lots of fun, and learning from an experienced team of web designers. This position is for a minimum of 1 day per week (possibly more in future). You will be remunerated according to your experience.
