The year took off with a new image for the Pollenizer website. Some may have noticed the events calendar is looking exceptionaly lush with lots of workshops and info nights on course for the next 6 months. The sessions, which have remained an internal sharing forum for new learnings is now open to full time hive members and casuals.
The 30 minute session will aim to inform on current trends, important products to help the business. It’s also a great opportunity to leverage on each other’s experience and create dynamic discussions.
Last week’s inaugural brown bag session of the year, presented Hitwise to the group. Hitwise provide their customers with intelligent data on customer search trends. The product is a fascinating tool enabling users to determine how an audience searches. The database profiles different genres indicating traffic to numerous websites.
As you’d imagine, for a startup constantly looking for a problem to solve, this database is gold. Accessing the search trends of a cross section of the country and beyond. Using this data will enable companies to strategize based on their customers behaviour. It may be worth it’s weight in gold, but for a small startup, it’s the price of a small employee, so not massively practical unless the profits determine otherwise.
Brown Bag’s happen ad-hoc in the hive, delivered by anyone who is interested in sharing something they may have learned. We also love to have guests in to speak to the crew, so if that’s you, get in touch.
