It has been a busy past few months for Pygg, the mobile payments app.
Next week we’re releasing version 3.0 of the iOS application, with super slick new features, including invites, requests and a new pay anyone function, which will make paying someone through Pygg seriously faster than cash. We’re also rebuilding the web app to include our new group ordering product, Coffee Run, and Request pay. Chasing people for money (or being too bashful to collect) is now a thing of the past. Pygg’s new phase will be focused on the school environment, we’re talking to principals and P&Cs of primary schools with a plan to implement cashless payments for schools in 2013.
The pain of cash is real in the school environment with children being the weakest link. Pygg is delivering cashless payments for excursions, canteens, fundraising events and uniform shops and plans to roll out in NSW primary schools when they return back next year in February 2013. Gone are the days of lost lunch money or permission slips for excursions. Pygg is striving to build a product designed to connect parents and schools directly.
– Peter Crowe, CEO of Pygg.
Pygg for schools will be great for parents and P&C members with reminders and mobile payments, and super efficient for schools with no cost, minimal training needed and as a perfect channel for donations. Pygg will save teachers time and energy so they can focus less on administration and more on teaching.
Pygg has had great interest from principals and P&C leaders already but needs more. Member of a P&C committee? Pygg is perfect for collecting money for P&C events and fundraising activities. Talk to Pygg about trialling cashless payments for your next fundraiser.
If you are connected to a school through your children or otherwise, you can help out too:
Connect people to Pygg’s new website to register their interest at https://pygg.co/school or connect them directly with Peter Crowe, CEO of Pygg, at peter@pygg.co.
Be a happy Pygg,
