I learned a new word in Manila today. Sigurista.
If you are sigurista, you need things to go according to plan. An entrepreneur can’t be sigurista. I don’t think we have an equivalent in English so I am adding this one to my lexicon.
Thanks to @pia_bernal for sharing 🙂
Hi Phil.
The translation you’re looking for, or at least the closest literal one is “perfectionist.”
I think “risk-averse” is a closer translation
Perfectionist isn’t equivalent to sigurista. Sigurista is more like people who doesn’t like and doesn’t take risks.
Perfectionists are people who does something but wants that something to be perfect which has risks because they can’t be sure it can be perfected but takes it anyway.
