Sitting next to the entry buzzer, I’ve had first-hand experience into the veritable turn-style that is the Pollenizer front door. The steady stream of people that range from delivery men to corporate investors just adds to the buzz of activity at the ‘hive’. It’s this open-door policy and active sharing of ideas and opinions that really differentiates Pollenizer from other offices I’ve worked in.
This week I’ve continued compiling the annual Pollenizer Investor Report, doing some editing to the Pollenizer Information Memorandum and started work on creating a website for the new Pollenizer book- Focus. One of the most pleasing aspects of my time at Pollenizer has been the variety of tasks I’ve had the opportunity to undertake.
One of the key learnings I’ve had for the week is adaptability. That is, diving into a task head first even if it’s not something you’ve done much (or at all) before and adapting. Using new web applications and programs (like WordPress) has expanded my technical familiarity which is a bonus because before starting at Pollenizer I was definitely a bit of a tech-novice.
