Talent has been very active at Pollenizer over the last year. We are very lucky to have the team that we have; its commitment, effort and collective motion makes Pollenizer what it is. The Talent and HR hub needs to ensure that we not only attract amazing talent, but we keep our shining stars happy and growing. With our emerging hub in Singapore and the US, we want to make sure that we can scale and mould our magic and take it with us wherever Pollenizer pops up in the world.
In the last year we have consolidated our Pods, rolled out new performance review strategies, rallied around team happiness (one of our main drivers), and ignited our Internship Programme in partnership with the University of Sydney. The Talent Pathway for current staff has been integrated into our daily Hive life and is part of the daily vocabulary at Pollenizer.
We have gone through many changes in our Talent acquisition strategies, as well as how we build and manage our current Talent pool. We have moved from a reactive recruitment model towards a continuous scouting strategy, similar to the baseball draft in the US. Our most successful venture in Talent has been the Startup Bootcamp held in May, which will be replicated once a term to scout for talent and new Founders.
Most of the last quarter has been geared around “tools and prep”; we have made a conscious effort to build foundations to help us facilitate best Talent Practices (CRMs, HRMs, policies, strategies, tactics, event planning, templates, etc) and to help us move forward with the Pathway, Academy and Boost!.
