Purpose of Position 

UI Designers design a user-friendly and powerful user interface for the Pollenizer portfolio businesses, under the direction of the Head of Design. You will need to understand the elements of user experience and user interface, and work closely with the Lean Product Manager and Platform Engineer (Inception Pod) to produce the best possible lean solution for the user application.

What you’ll be doing:

1. Keeping up to date with User interface trends and market conditions.
2. Working with the Platform Engineering and Lean Product Management teams to develop the product’s User Interface and Experience.
3. Building User interface prototypes for the Pollenizer portfolio business.
4. Participating in the inception process for the identity of new portfolio businesses.
5. Active ownership of the portfolio business visual identity and brand throughout the life-cycle of the business.
6. Build landing pages and other web applications under the direction of the Pod and the Head of Design.
7. Work closely with the rest of the UI team to develop and improve the Pollenizer visual identity and brand.

2. Is emotionally engaging and intuitive to use (design)
3. Is technically sound across all devices (front-end)

Academic & trades qualifications

• A degree in design would be a bonus but not a requirement.

Work experience & skills

• 1-3 years experience in UI or similar design.
• Background and hands-on experience in developing with HTML, CSS and JavaScript..
• Strong foundation in usability, accessibility and ergonomics of UI design.
