Summary: We are running a directors course for $500 in Surry Hills on Feb 28. If you would like to come, please email us

If you’re a director of a company, or have a goal of becoming one at some point in the future, it’s important that you understand the boundaries, risks and power of being a company director.

As you are probably aware, being a director is a serious commitment. Indeed, many people I know simply refuse to be one because of the risk it places upon them. A director is ultimately accountable for the success and proper governance of a business.

The Australian Institute of Company Directors run a brilliant course which gives us the knowledge we need to perform our roles safely (for our own benefits and for the benefit of our businesses) and to be powerful forces that make our businesses succeed. I have wanted to do it for years but it is very pricey at $1,320 per person.

So we decided to bring them to us so that we can offer this valuable training for less to our community for less. They will be running this course at Pollenizer on 28 February for $500 / head and we really hope that some of you can come along. If you know someone else that would like to take advantage of this, please drop me a line and we will see if we can squeeze them in.

The course runs through the role of the Director, a company Board, risks, conflict of interest and an overview of executive discipline. It should be a great jump-start for everyone who is new to directorship, and a fantastic refresher for those who are more seasoned.

If you would like to come, please email us

The course runs a week from now and there is very limited seating. Depending on numbers, we might run an additional session next quarter. We’ll keep you posted. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact Claudia Barriga-Larrivere (claudia AT pollenizer.com). She’ll be happy to help.

I look forward to seeing you there.
