Title: User Interface Designer
Location: Pollenizer HQ in Surry Hills
Purpose of Position
Our User Interface Engineer is the person who fills the gaps between Design, Information Architecture and Back-End Development. They know all front-end technologies inside out and have a firm understanding of User Interface Design and Product Development. They can work on everything from conceptual prototypes to turning photoshop designs into functioning websites. A nerdy all-rounder with an eye for detail.

Key responsibilities & duties
- Own the front-end of Pollenizer Projects using beautifully crafted HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
- Comfortably tinker with Photoshop to take designs from finished art to the web.
- Work closely with Designers & Product Team on functional prototypes.
- Work directly with the Development Team on implementing final solutions.
- Contribute to a common Framework codebase (Pollenizer UI) that is maintained across all Pollenizer projects.
Academic & trades qualifications
- Professional experience in web industry.
Work experience & skills
- Amazing HTML skills, specifically HTML5
- Extraordinary knowledge of CSS (including CSS3).
- Excellent knowledge of JavaScript (esp. jQuery)
- Hands-on experience with back-end technologies (Ruby)
- Understanding of mobile web development (iOS)
- Strong knowledge of Photoshop.
- A passion for web standards and best practice.
- Familiar with source control principles and comfortable with Git.
- Experience with WordPress blogging software and Themes.
