Title: PHP Developer
Location: Pollenizer HQ in Surry Hills
Pollenizer are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate PHP Developer to join us in our Sydney Hive. You will get to work on multiple projects and be responsible for making sure that they are architecturally sound and have the ability to scale. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of the systems, processes and current best-practices that the Engineering Team adheres to – including those around Unit Testing, Behaviour Driven Development, Continuous Integration, coding standards and more!
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake PHP software development on existing and new Pollenizer projects
- Work with the Head of Engineering to define best-practices for all software development processes and work with the team to ensure they are followed
- Work to improve and ensure that the output from the development team is world class and something that you are proud of
Required Skills and Experience
- Excellent PHP skills
- Excellent MySQL skills
- Experience using RAD frameworks such as CakePHP, Zend Framework or similar
- Experience building real web apps for real people
Nice to have
- Experience in mobile application development, especially iOS
- Knowledge of client-side languages and frameworks (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery/jQuery UI)
- Experience with MySQL database administration
- Experience with cloud services such as Rackspace, AWS or similar
- Knowledge of deployment best practices and automation
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
