Crowdsourcing is a neologistic compound of Crowd and Outsourcing for the act of taking tasks traditionally performed by an employee or contractor, and outsourcing them to a group of people or community, through an “open call” to a large group of people (a crowd) asking for contributions.
Here is a perfect example of Crowdsourcing.
Yesterday, Mick invited his Twitter followers to suggest any Kindle Book on the subject, Playing Games.
He got some recommendations from his Twitter followers. @matthieub suggested Gamestorming.
Mick decided to buy the suggested Kindle Book from Amazon.
He downloaded Gamestorming and read it.
