The Prime Minister Julia Gillard has made the unusual move of announcing an election date almost eight months in advance. Australians will take to the polls on Saturday 14 September, and we want to know what issues are most important to you, the startup community.

From Little Things has been following with interest the Government’s Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship review, which is yet to be released, months after a government response was anticipated. But, with an election date now set in stone, it’s the time to advocate for policy change.

Issues such as ESOP reform, tax concessions for early-stage investors, investment in maths and science education and addressing the funding crunch are hot topics for Australian founders, as we’ve previously written. But, are these the most important issues for you? What else would make launching a startup in Australia easier? We want your views.

So now, we call on you to share the top issues for startups you think should be on the political agenda this election year. We’ll pull together a snapshot of the issues as seen by all players in the Australian startup ecosystem: the founders, investors, employees and mentors.
