Following on from my post last week on products that are faking emotion (Don’t fake emotion), I thought I’d focus this week on some that I feel have real emotion built-in. As I’m a music nut I’ll start with reviewing my favourite music websites, trying to work out what emotion they generate that keeps me coming back for more:
Last.FM
Emotion: Surprise
You never know what track Last.FM will serve up next.

Waxpoetics.com
Emotion: Inspiration
It’s impossible to read a waxpoetics article and not be inspired to do something creative.

Juno
Emotion: Confidence
Found a great track and want to play it in a club? Don’t trust itunes crappy compression, Juno WAV files are the only way to go.

Mixcloud.com
Emotion: Hope
When current music starts to get me down I tune into Mixcloud and regain hope for what’s coming next.

All of these products bring out real emotion when I use them. How can you start tapping into product emotion?
