It’s been a long long time since I’ve played around with ad/banner exchanges. They were pretty big in the early days of the internet, where websites of a similar topic would come together to share traffic. Adsense/Adwords pretty much killed off that community spirit but it seems to be back again in the app world.
Basically these app ad exchanges allow app developers to exchange in app promotions. Here’s a couple of networks claiming to offer ad exhanges:
