Focus Workshop

More businesses fail due to lack of focus than any other reason.

You cannot create a great business in one step. Sequence is key. Pollenizer specialises in helping take big ideas and turn them into a starting point.

Group Focus Workshops

Attend a 3 hour workshop to understand why focus is so important and some guidelines on how to get it and keep it. This is idea for anyone about to start building their first web business. Customised Focus Project

Once you are ready to get started, the first step in working with Pollenizer is a Focus Project. This takes 4 weeks and ends with you having an action plan that you are confident in and excited about. Here is a video describing what we do and below is an outline of the process.

Outline of a Focus Project

Research Document

Exploration and research on:

  • The existing product concept from a customer and marketing perspective.
  • Existing examples of competitors, substitutes, comparable services.
  • Any documentation that might exist already regarding customers, strategy, etc
  • Review and feedback of the product by the broader Pollenizer team.

Workshop

One or two workshops to explore:

  • Business vision and goals.
  • Value creation – what problem are we solving and what is the value we create?
  • Finding our focus – alignment of the customer, product and business model.
  • Prioritise and sequence – take the work to be done and put them in order of which should be done first and where we should focus our efforts.
  • Sketch out a roadmap and next steps.

The workshop will be facilitated by a web strategist and supported by a customer focused online marketing manager and a product manager.

Strategy and Plan

Preparation of a brief, action oriented report which combines the research findings, outcomes of the workshop, and our recommended strategy and plan. The roadmap will cover the next 24 months and the plan will cover the next three months.

The final document will be presented to the team along with a proposal for next steps.

Scope

This is intentionally a short project to enable both companies to work together without significant risk. Given the size, it will be impossible to be exhaustive in any of the areas. Instead, the hope is that the combination of depth of knowledge of the client team and the breadth of knowledge of the Pollenizer team, combines to produce strong results.

Next

After the Focus Project, we start work on Customer Development and then build towards product development.
