Biography

Hey! I'm Rob, Head of Engineering.

I started out in IT when a uni mate and I created a little company called Green Screen Media (we thought it was cool). He did dev and I did design.

I got my first professional gig with SOCOG in 2000 working on olympics.com. Since then I've worked mainly in development and development management roles for local government and media organisations such as News Digital Media and Fairfax Media. I've also spent a few years part-time lecturing in Multimedia and Web Technologies with Sydney University and UNSW.

Before coming to Pollenizer, I had my first foray into the travel industry with HotelClub (Orbitz Worldwide). I miss the discount travel!

Why startups? It's the remote possibility that, just maybe, there are people out there that will actually like what we make. They may even find it useful and, if we're lucky, they may wonder how they ever lived without it.

When not at the Pollenizer hive, I'm playing with my two boys Aidan and Ethan. As Kenny Loggins once said;

One of life's simple joys
Is playing with the boys
