Biography

Hey I'm Michelle! I'm a business concept manager.

My background is primarily in Product Management and Customer/Community development, but I've also had experience with UX/UI/Brand development. Prior to working with Pollenizer, I worked with companies such as HotelClub (Orbitz), TEC (CEO mentoring organisation), and startups such as 3eep and Kazaa.

Start-ups are a fantastic way to engage with technology and the way it's shaping society. They have the unique opportunity to create change, take a few calculated risks and rapidly explore innovation without the constraints of legacy systems. It's the bleeding edge, the front of the way, and always being in the white-water which I love about start-up - there's no time for boredom or time to slack-off!

I overheard someone say the other day "she has the greatest job in the world!" and it's true. Every day I get to explore new challenges in emerging industries, and debate with really intelligent people about extremely meaningful and topical subjects. I love that we deliver real solutions to an array of problems within a rapid, agile and collaborative environment.

That, and the coffee is what gets me out of bed in the morning!

Outside work you will more than likely find me in the kitchen, at yoga or walking my dog. I'm a big foodie (in fact, my first 6 years of my professional career was in commercial kitchens) so I spend a lot of time experimenting, reading cookbooks and eating delicious food. I'm also exploring social and environmental sustainability and collaborating with like minded individuals to bring about positive change for our community.
